About me
I'm Eva Veble, an independent consultant with more than 25 years of experience in mine action and civilian protection. I work under the name Eviq, from Maribor, Slovenia.
ABOUT
My work so far
I started in mine action in 2000 at the International Trust Fund (ITF) in Slovenia, where I managed contracts and grants from more than 20 donors. I then spent seven years with DanChurchAid in Copenhagen, first on quality assurance across country programs and later as Head of the Mine Action Unit.
In 2011 I joined Norwegian People's Aid, as Program Manager in Lebanon and then Country Director in Albania. From 2020 I was Global Special Advisor and the focal point for the organization's significant US Department of State (PM/WRA) portfolio across 12 countries.
In 2025 I started working independently. Eviq brings together what I have done throughout my career: making sure donor-funded programs work efficiently, are fit for purpose and are compliant with donor rules.
